Kindle Therapy Co.

More time. More depth. More you.

I’m Katie,

Every breakthrough I’ve seen started the same way, when someone finally had enough time to stay with what mattered.

Why I started
Kindle Therapy Co.

In my early years as a therapist, I noticed a pattern.

Clients were doing incredible work, showing up, reflecting, growing, but just as we’d start to reach the deeper parts, time would run out.

So I began stretching sessions wherever I could. First, it was staying through my lunch break. Then, adding an open afternoon at the end of my workday.

Eventually, I built Kindle Therapy Co. around what I saw actually working: longer, focused EMDR Intensives that give people the time and space to move through what’s been stuck and finally feel lighter.

My approach.

I specialize in EMDR Intensives because they create structure and safety while allowing enough time for real change to happen.

These sessions are designed to help your brain and body work together, gently reprocessing old experiences so they no longer feel as present, painful, or defining.

My approach blends:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C)

This means we don’t just look at what happened, we explore how it lives in you and what you need to feel whole again.

The work is deep, but it’s also flexible, collaborative, and entirely shaped around your story.

Credentials & experience.

I’m a Certified EMDR Practitioner offering trauma-focused, evidence-based care that helps clients reprocess and integrate what’s been held inside for too long.

As a Consultant-in-Training, I also supervise and support new EMDR therapists as they grow in confidence and skill.

My background includes training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), which allows me to help clients connect with all the different parts of themselves with greater compassion and clarity.

I’m also Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C), with a specialization in supporting parents through birth trauma, pregnancy loss, and TFMR (termination for medical reasons)—experiences that are often deeply isolating and overlooked in traditional therapy spaces.

Over more than 15 years in outpatient and private-practice settings, my work has remained grounded in curiosity, gentleness, and respect for each person’s natural pace of healing.

A quiet, safe place for healing

Outside of work.

When I’m not working with clients, I’m usually outside — hiking through the woods with my family, moving my body, or finding new places that make me feel small in a good way.

Lately, I’ve been learning to surf in Barbados, falling in love with the rhythm of the ocean — and I plan to offer optional surf lessons as part of future retreat experiences.

Those quiet (and sometimes wave-filled) moments remind me why I do this work: because healing, like nature, takes time, space, and presence.

Meet Vivian Lehrer,

Clinical Master's Intern

Vivian Lehrer is a Clinical Master's Intern pursuing her M.S. in Community and Trauma Counseling at Thomas Jefferson University.

As part of the Kindle Therapy Co. team, Vivian supports clients through both traditional outpatient therapy and EMDR Intensive experiences.

A native Spanish speaker and bicultural Chilean-American, Vivian brings a trauma-informed, relational, and culturally responsive lens to her work. She has a particular interest in supporting women through the complexity, vulnerability, and transformation of the perinatal period, while also helping adults navigate relationship transitions, separation, divorce, and co-parenting.

Before entering the counseling field, Vivian worked as a public interest attorney representing survivors of domestic violence. She later co-founded and directed a farm-to-table sleepaway camp rooted in nature connection, community, and kindness.

Her work is grounded in a deep belief in each person's capacity for wisdom, resilience, and growth.

Vivian will be part of the Kindle Therapy Co. team through Summer 2027.
